Observation and analysis of the 3ω and 2ω harmonic extension toward underdense laser plasmas

Abstract

Our latest experiment has shown that a single 10-µm radius-scale laser spot itself is not able to produce the 90° sidc-en1itted 3ωo,/2 harmonic in a preformed laser plasma. However, with the help of one or two accessory laser spots of a similar size to the main spot, the side-emitted three halves can probably be detected if some position and angle conditions for the accessory spots are met.
