Progress towards the demonstration of a short wavelength chemical laser

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

Reactive flow studies on the Pacific Applied Research Blowdown Facility (PAR/BDF) have been in progress for nearly two years. During the course of these studies a number of flow configurations, involving different combinations of combustors, injectors, and cavity configurations have been investigated. These different configurations were evaluated with respect to a variety of observables, the most important of which were the closed and open cavity BiF (A-X) emission spectra.
