Abstract

Ablation of soft tissue through vitreous with Er:YAG laser energy was previously reported1 despite the strong absorption (10,000 cm1) of water at 2940 nm. Similar observaton of soft tissue ablation through water with an Er:YAG laser was made in our laboratory.
