Abstract

LiB₃O_s (LBO) is a new kind of nonlinear optical (NLO) crystal, which has a large second- harmonic generation (SHG) coefficient and a large transparent range, 160-2600 nm. LBO is therefore a promising NLO material in the ultraviolet range.
