Abstract

Previous experiments have shown that phase-conjugated waves can be produced with photorefractive crystals by mutual pumping or self-pumping.1-4 We here report a new way to produce phase-conjugated waves with BaTiO3 crystal. The wave is produced by neither self-pumping nor mutual-pumping, but by induced pumping. This induced-pumped, phase-conjugated wave may find application in switching devices.
