Abstract
Real-time detection of policyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) in the flue gases of electric power plants enables reduction of PAH production by means of the active control of combustion parameters. Thanks to high UV absorption and high fluorescent emission, PAH detection sensitivities lower than 1 ppb are possible with laser-induced fluorescence.
