Generation of high-repetition-rate trains of uninteracting solitons and suppression of stimulated Brillouin scattering in optical fiber communication lines

Abstract

Optical fiber soliton communication lines are of great interest now. One of the problems that should be solved is a source of soliton pulses at a repetition rate of GHz-THz range. A condition the sources should satisfy is the purity of the pulse train: the pulses should be transformed, limited, and have sech2 form, and a pedestal should be absent between the pulses.
