Abstract

We describe the most recent advances in the development of Ti:Al2O3 unstable resonator lasers. Since we reported the first results with Ti:Al2O3 unstable resonator oscillators,1 we have increased the output energy from 180 to 430 mJ and have begun experiments with graded reflectivity output mirrors.
