Laser mode-locking using a polsed electrooptic modulator

Abstract

Theoretical analysis of laser mode-locking based on Gaussian pulse modulation1 shows the laser pulse width to be directly proportional to the square root of the modulation pulse width and inversely proportional to the fourth root of modulation amplitude.
