Abstract

The theory of a Cerenkov laser has been developed for the case when the amplifying wave of frequency ω = 2πc/λ propagates in the waveguide in the total internal reflection mode (TIR) and the particle beam moves over its surfaces.1,2 The gain factor of a free electron laser can be increased in a klystron type system.
