Abstract

There has been an interest in flashlamp pumped pulsed chemical lasers utilizing mixtures of He, D2, and F2. For practical applications efficiency is an important consideration, and a number of researchers have considered the use of additives to improve the utilization of the flashlamp light at short wavelengths. The idea is best tested with a Suprasil flashlamp and O2 free mixtures.
