Abstract

There has been sustained interest in recent years in the cyclic He-Sr recombination laser as an efficient (≈0.1%) source of high power (>1-W average, 1-kW peak) radiation in the blue/violet (4305/4162 Å) for applications which include the pumping of blue laser dyes at kilohertz repetition frequencies.
