Abstract
The atomic vapor laser isotope separation process has a significantly higher uranium separation factor than other methods, making it the focus of a number of Japanese research activities on laser isotope separation.1 One of the most important goals to ensure the success of this next generation technology is development of much higher reliability and much longer lifetime copper vapor lasers.
