Study on the photorefractive effect in lithium niobate waveguides

Abstract

A high power laser beam may cause photorefraction in waveguides. In our experiment, the m-line method is used to determine the waveguide photorefraction and measure the energy thresholds of several waveguides. The schematic diagram is shown in Fig. 1.
