Abstract

The proton-exchanged LiNbO3 waveguide is attractive for devices in the visible wavelength due to its high resistance to optical damage. Here we report the first demonstration of second harmonic generation (SHG) by Cherenkov radiation in a proton-exchanged LiNbO3 waveguide.
