Efficient tunable solid-state laser using Ti:sapphire and Ti:YAG

Abstract

Tunable solid-state lasers using Thsapphire and Ti:YAG are currently under investigation. Preliminary results indicate that these materials are good candidates for a reliable efficient tunable laser oscillator having a large tuning range of 700–920 nm with a 1-Å linewidth using proper tuning elements and dichroic mirrors.
