Abstract

In the 1970s, it was found1,2 that electronic energy transfer from N2(a1πg) to CO (A1π) occurs with a near gasdynamic collision rate. Information on the ro-vibrational distribution of the CO (A1π) products and the detailed dynamics of the transfer process, however, is still incomplete.
