Abstract

Semiconductor lasers have been widely used for coherent light sources in various application systems. Therefore, there is an increasing need for improvement of their characteristics. Especially longitudinal-mode stability and low-noise characteristics of semiconductor lasers are important factors in optical communication or other application systems. To improve these characteristics we have developed a new (AIGa)As internal-reflection-interference laser in the visible (7700-7900-A) wavelength region.
