Abstract

We previously studied1,2 the photochemical reactions and measured the quantum yields for isomerization (conformational changes) of 2-fluoroethanol after excitation into vibrational fundamentals between 2980 and 3700 cm−1. It was shown that vibrational relaxation to the solid competes with intramolecular vibrational energy redistribution at these low energies.
