Abstract
Stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) in germania-silica fibers has been used to produce broadband IR light which is then used to measure dispersive properties of test fibers. We have investigated the effects of small velocity/group velocity dispersion (GVD) differences between the pump and Stokes beam. We show new intensity growth of the Stokes wave when both the group velocity and the GVD differences between pump and Stokes beams are nearly zero.
