Abstract
Laser ionization based on resonance saturation (LIBORS) is now well established as an extremely efficient laser interaction leading to near complete ionization of the laser-pumped species.1-5 To date, however, there has been no attempt to describe the 3-D nature of this important new laser ionization process. We report on the first comprehensive study of LIBORS that includes both 3-D modeling of the interaction along the path of the laser pulse and a comparison between this theoretical computation and experiment.
