IMAGING THRESHOLD DETECTOR USING A PHASE CONJUGATE RESONATOR IN BaTiO3

Abstract

We have demonstrated a nonlinear threshold detecting device using a BaTiO3 phase conjugate resonator (PCR) and a spatially encoded erase beam. The threshold of the resonator is set so that pixels above threshold are regeneratively amplified while those below give no output.
