Abstract

Numerous problems in advanced signal processing, image processing, and numerical computing can be formulated and solved more easily when described in the language of linear algebra. The basic operations of linear algebra are: (1) scalar-vector multiplication; (2) vector-vector inner product; (3) vector-vector outer product; (4) vector-matrix multiplication; (5) matrix-matrix multiplication; (6) matrix/vector additions/subtractions.
