Abstract
Laser diagnostic techniques such as laser light scattering, velocimetry, and fluorescence measurements allow nonintrusive spatially resolved measurements of particle formation processes in flames. From such measurements, an understanding of formation, growth, and burnout of soot particles can be gained. Recently, there has been an increased interest in studies of soot formation in laminar diffusion flames.1-4
