Abstract

Laser-induced fluorescence (LSF) can be used for diagnostics and process steering in several industrial contexts. In particular, the technique can be utilized for sensitive monitoring of the presence or absence of surface layers of, e.g., oils. Important features of LIF are the nonintrusive nature of the measurement process and the real-time data availability. We have constructed a prototype LIF system for industrial applications.
