4×4 optical waveguide switch with single-mode fiber arrays for 1.3-µm wavelength

Abstract

In single-mode and high bit-rate optical fiber communication systems at 1.3-µm wavelength, high-speed switching networks are in great demand for a variety of functions. LiNbO3 waveguide switches1 are suitable for constructing such switching networks because of the high-speed capability.
