Compact CO2 laser with transverse rf excitation

Abstract

The design and operation of a subsonic flow 2.5-kW CO2 laser with transverse rf excitation are reported. Particular emphasis is given to two methods of power incoupling, i.e., the use of either metallic or dielectric electrodes.
