Abstract

Nitrogen and excimer lasers are among the most reliable and powerful pump sources for excitation of pulsed tunable lasers. These lasers are powerful and in the case of excimer lasers provide high output energies with a short pulse length. Therefore, in many experiments using tunable lasers these pump sources have been used for the investigation of nonlinear processes or time-resolved studies.
