Abstract

Laser-induced mass spectrometry offers unique opportunities for studying mass spectra of a nonvolatile sample.1 Molecular and structural information can be obtained from the mass spectra of molecules in the range of 1000 amu.2 Since the coherent beam of the laser can be focused down to very small areas (a few micrometers), opportunities for microprobe analysis also exist.3
