Abstract
The laser is gaining in acceptance as a surgical tool by surgeons in all disciplines. As this energy transfer system is explored and tested, its potential applications in medicine increase in number. In gynecology, the laser is being used increasingly and with much success by colposcopists in the management of neoplastic disease of the external genitalia.
