Tunable blue vortex beam generation by frequency tripling in a chirped dual-periodical optical superlattice

Abstract

We report tunable third harmonic generation of vortex beams in a chirped dual-periodical LiTaO3 optical superlattice. The generated vortex beam has a 2.3-nm tuning range in the blue with a conversion efficiency of about 1.5%.
