Fluoride crystals for Inertial Confinement Fusion laser drivers

Abstract

In this paper we study Nd,Lu :CaF2 crystals which could be a serious alternative to the Nd-doped laser glasses, which are presently being used as amplifiers in high energy laser facilities, for high repetition rate applications.
