Self-referenced CEO Frequency Detection of a Semiconductor Disk Laser using a Silicon Nitride Waveguide

Abstract

We present the self-referenced detection of the carrier-envelope offset (CEO) frequency of a gigahertz SESAM-modelocked VECSEL with a coherent octave-spanning supercontinuum generated in a silicon nitride waveguide without the need of external pulse amplification.
