LED-pumped Alexandrite laser oscillator and amplifier

Abstract

We present the first demonstration LED-pumped alexandrite lasers. In free running, the oscillator delivers an energy up to 2.9mJ at 10 Hz. The amplifier presents a gain of 3.2 at 750 nm in 8 passes.
