Multicolor Burst Pump for Long-Wave Parametric Amplifiers

Abstract

We demonstrate a scheme for LWIR pulse amplification based on spatial and spectral de-multiplexing of a pulse burst from a 1-m laser amplifier. This method holds promise for energy scaling of 5-10-m OP(CP)A using Joule-class Nd and Yb pump lasers.
