Broadband Low-loss Fan-in/Fan-out Devices for Multicore Fibers

Abstract

We proposed and achieved broadband fused-taper type fan-in/fan-out devices for multicore fibers with -65 dB crosstalk at 1550 nm. The average insertion losses of Fi/Fo pair from O-band to L-band are all under 1.2 dB.
