Resonance frequency mapping interrogation system for a sensor array of over 100 identical weak FBGs

Abstract

We demonstrated a novel interrogation system for an identical FBG array by using the resonance frequency mapping technique. This system is based on an active mode-locking fiber laser configuration and the measurement of resonance frequencies in the laser cavity. We successfully measured resonance frequency spectrum of over 70 identical weak FBGs.
