Beyond 100G Optical Interconnect with Short-block Polar Coding

Abstract

We investigate polar code with cyclic redundancy check (CRC) and successive cancellation list (SCL) decoding in beyond 100G optical interconnection. Error free can be achieved with 80% code rate polar coding when the hard decision BER is 2.5×10–2.
