Digital back-propagation with genetic algorithm optimization for uncertain optical link powers

Abstract

The performance of DBP suffers from the inaccurate power map. In a single-polarization 16-QAM transmission experiment, by adding genetic algorithm optimization, we achieve 0.4-dB better performance than traditional DBP.
