Metamaterial Perfect Absorber at Visible-near Infrared Frequencies Using Metal-dielectric-metal Structure

Abstract

A ultra-broadband polarization-independent nearly perfect absorber at visible-near infrared frequencies has been proposed. The absorber bases on a metal-dielectric-metal (MDM) structure. Extraordinary optical absorption with absorption peaks up to 99% can be achieved.
