Self-Similar Pulse Compression at Mid-Infrared Spectral Region in Tapered Tellurite Photonic Crystal Fiber

Abstract

We propose a tapered tellurite photonic crystal fiber to achieve self-similar pulse compression at mid-infrared spectral region. Simulation results show that a 1-ps input pulse can be compressed to 62.23 fs along with negligible pedestal.
