Tunable-wavelength mode filter with mechanically induced long period fiber grating

Abstract

We investigate a tunable fundamental-mode filter with a mechanically induced long-period fiber grating. By changing the stress applied to the LPFG, the output excitation ratio of more than 1:20 was obtained when the input ratio was 1:1.
